Hospice Coffee Morning (22nd Sept*)

A date for evryone's diary: We've been supporting Hospice Coffee Mornings since their very first!

Since Covid restrictions are playing such a role in organising events we want to make this one as big as we can.

We are looking for cakes from every TY, any raffle prizes and all family memebrs to join us in the Assembly Hall for coffee and cakes on the morning of September 22nd.

We'll share more details in the coming days.

*You may have noted that this is the day after the national Hospice Coffee Morning Day - this is to facilitate 6th Years attending as they are at a college information day on the 21st Sept

Dublin South Arch Club

Dublin South Arch Club are looking for 8/10 TY volunteers to help out every Saturday afternoon in Foxrock Parish Hall for a couple of hours at the Dublin South Arch Club (youth club for special needs kids and young adults) in Foxrock Parish Hall.

10 TYs volunteered last year and it was a massive success. The boys and the Arch Club members got so much out of it that some of the boys want to continue this year !

There will also be a group of girls from the Teresian school who will be joining in Sept.

This takes place in Foxrock Parish Hall.

There are different clubs for different age groups every Saturday so the you can pick whatever time suits you.

You will have to stick to that time/club because the members build up friendships with you and vice versa:

Junior Club 12-1pm. (Kids age 8-12)

Rebels Club 2.15-3.30pm (Age 13-16)

Warriors Club 4-5.45pm (Age 17-21)

Seniors Club 6-7pm (Age 21-24)

This also goes towards your Gaisce Awards Community Participation Challenge.

A note from Mr O'Flynn:

"Having a school dog means having to take on that responsibility, we need volunteers from every year to sign up and take slots, to take him for plays and breaks, refresh his water etc. during each day.

Please email Mr O'Flynn and say whether you are willing to do one or multiple slots a week, during the year, robbie.oflynn@stmc.ie .

You will be in groups of 3 and you can request to be with your friends if you wish"
