TY Christmas Activities Week*


All details of when and where to meet and what to wear are below:


All activities are non uniform


Secret City Tour: A remarkable way to see Dublin. This tour is led by men with experience of addiction, homelessness and rough sleeping in the City Centre.


Meeting at the STM stained glass window, Ailesbury Road entrance & departing for the city centre via DART at 10am sharp (except Wednesday depart time is 10:30) for Secret City Tour at 11am - 12pm. Please have LEAP card / return fare for DART & LUAS. For convenience, you will be able to make your own way home after the tour ends. Make sure to wear a rain coat& comfy shoes


Dublin Hike: Meeting outside Howth DART station at 10:30am. If you are coming from school you will need to be on the 09:36am Sydney Parade DART. Make sure to wear a rain coat& comfy shoes. ** If you are late we will not be able to wait for you so please ensure you leave yourself plenty of time to make the trip **


Community Clean Up: Meet at school Outside Mr O’Donnell’s office. Make sure to wear a rain coat& comfy shoes


First Aid Course: This is a fully certified course. Please go to the Blue Room, STMC Pavilion.


Lir Academy Tour, 15th Dec: The following TYs who signed up are to depart at 11:20am from outside Mr O'Donnell's Office. Please be sure to bring LEAP card/DART fare


Tour starts 12pm (fin 1pm) For convenience, you will be able to make your own way home after the tour ends.

4.1 Wednesday 13th Dec

TY Activities (marked in white in the grid above)


Multi sport tournament for 2 teams. All kit: dodgeballs, frisbee & volleyball nets will be available in the TYC office Wednesday morning.

4.2 Monday 12th Dec

SVP Hamper Pack: Meeting in Room 1 for 9:25. The class group will be divided into 3 teams to pack food for families. You will be finished by approx 1pm. There will be pizza for lunch



4.3 & 4.5 Friday 16th Dec


4.4 Tuesday 13th Dec


Meet at Computer Room 11am (finish time approx 1pm) for PS FIFA Tournament in aid of SVP. Suggested donation €2


As agreed amongst the class, 2 PlayStations are to be brought in for the tournament (along with one additional controller

 

* It is very important to note that everyone is expected to attend all activities each day. Anyone who is not in attendance on any day must have a parental note excusing them from the day's activity. Please send this to both Mr Hogan and myself.

 

RCSI Undergraduate Open Day

Discover what it's like to study Medicine, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy or Advanced Therapeutic Technologies at RCSI by attending our annual Undergraduate Open Day on Wednesday, 4 January 2023.


Taking place from 10am-4pm at 26 York Street, our Undergraduate Open Day allows prospective students to learn more about our programmes, admissions essentials, RCSI’s world-class facilities, student life, and the career supports available to RCSI students.

You will also have the chance to participate in career-focused workshops in Medicine, Pharmacy and Physiotherapy in our state-of-the-art clinical simulation facilities on St Stephen's Green.
