Activities Week



We had a fun and engaging week by all accounts.


Well done everyone for their mannerly and friendly attitude - our facilitators on all activities were very impressed.


Also, I'm very glad to report some of the best time keeping and attendance we've had from TYs in quite some time. Keep it up!


Nightmare Realm Halloween Trip

A spooky night out! Great scares and laughs ... definitely an annual trip!


Junior Cert Results

18th October


You will be receiving results at 12pm in the Assembly Hall. You will be free to go after the results presentation to accommodate family arrangements/celebrations.


Any parents of a student currently not in school can collect results from the admin office from 12:30pm


Tanzania Interviews & Questions

19th & 20th October


Interviews for the Tanzania Immersion Trip will take place this week. Interview questions, times & locations will be shared by Mr Doolan with everyone who applied shortly.


Module Rotations & New Timetables


Timetables are to be collected from Mr Hogan's office from 8:30am and class rotations are available to see on the TY office windows.


Special Ops Airsoft Waivers

(for trip on 24th October)


We will be travelling to Special Ops Outdoor Adventures, Wicklow for a day of Airsoft battles on the 24th October. A pizza lunch will be provided.


I will be handing out waivers for everyone on Monday. This must be signed by a parent and returned to my office by Thursday, 19th October. This is your "ticket" to take part.


Homeless Contact Work Meeting


There will be a short meeting in Room 24 at 10:15am this Monday to go through plans for this years STMC Soup Run.


STMC Bike Hub 7 week Pilot Programme


2 volunteers are being sought to take part in a new pilot initiative with Bike Hub.


This will take place on an agreed weekday 3:40 - 4:40pm once a week in the STMC Pavilion.


You will work with a trained mechanic fixing bikes for STMC students as well as working on bikes donated for children attending DEIS schools and people living in Direct Provision.

Together Academy Changeover (4.3 to 4.4)


A very special thanks to our crew in 4.3 for all their work in the Together Academy every Monday morning, 8:00am -9:15am. Your last Monday is this week.


I will call in to 4.4 to go through the details as to how you can get involved.


ROCKModelUN


ROCKMUN will be taking place on Friday, January 26th – Saturday, January 27th 2024 in Blackrock College.

ECO UNESCO

confirmed days & times


A reminder: everyone who expressed interest in taking part in the ECO UNESCO programme has been emailed final details re signing up and joing groups in the ECO UNESCO City Centre Office for one of the follwing groups:


Tuesday group at 5-7pm, OR Wednesday club from 2-4pm, OR the Thurs group from 5-7pm.
