Happy St Patrick’s Day!

Wishing everyone in our school community a very happy St Patrick’s Day.

80th Anniversary of St Michael’s College

Well done to everyone who contributed to a wonderful evening celebrating 80 years of STMC and the incredible talent within our community.

Looking forward to sharing the photos from the event.

Here's some of the lead up!

St Seb’s Boston – STMC Exchange

A warm welcome to our St Sebastian’s students who will be joining us next week. We hope they have a fantastic experience at STMC.

Seachtain na Gaeilge

Details to be confirmed for a Quiz to mark Seachtain na Gaeilge with TYs at Mount Anville next week. We'll be getting a coach to the school from St Michael's - I'll have information re times and day by Tuesday.

SOAR Foundation

A huge good luck to our volunteers who will be featured on Virgin Media this week, highlighting the incredible work of the SOAR Foundation.

Tanzania Movie Night & Fundraiser

Congratulations to all students and parents for their efforts in raising vital funds for the Tanzania Immersion Trip. This week saw some fantastic baking on sale, along with beautifully hand-painted STMC crests. A reminder that the Annual Immersion Trip Movie Night will take place on 24th March.

TYs: Don't forget (!) to work on selling your TEN TICKETS!

The Elephant in the Room

Yesterday marked the initial unveiling of ‘The Elephant in the Room’ through a powerful Q&A session with past pupil, coach and teacher Greg McWilliams, alongside former All Black, media personality, and psychotherapist Brent Pope.

Brent’s openness and courage set a wonderful example of masculinity for our students. The Elephant serves as a reminder to acknowledge and express our emotions and reinforces that STMC is a school community that cares.

If you are struggling with anything, please reach out and talk to someone. A massive thank you to all involved!

Junior Football

Congratulations to the Junior Gaelic team and managers Ms Hoare and Mr Sheridan on another win which puts them into the championship final. Very best of luck in the final lads!

Barista Courses

A reminder that Barista Courses will take place this Thursday and Friday.

Camino Place Available

A place has become available for the Camino trip from May 18th to 23rd. Before formal offers are made, we are confirming interest and availability.

Selection will be based on a weighted process that considers conduct, participation in activities weeks, project work and attendance.

If your son would like to be considered, please discuss this opportunity with him and ensure the form on his google classroom is completed and submitted by Tuesday, March 18th, at 3:40 PM.

Selection decisions will be finalised next week.
