A lovely afternoon in JumpZone last Thursday

Thanks to everyone who made the last day of the term a more fun filled one.

TY English: Comedy Workshops (starts week of Nov 1st)

All TYs will be taking part in Comedy and Confidence-Building workshops with Garden Gigs Ireland (Danny O’ Brien and Damian Clark) as part of Module 2 English: Speech & Persuasive writing.

These will be 1/2 day morning workshops for each class group and they will take place in the Assembly Hall.

Here's some photos from last year's workshops.

Sign Up to work in the Together Academy

Wanderers Rugby Club

Students at the brilliant Together Academy (TA) will be opening up a community cafe and we've been asked to help staff this new enterprise. Here's Aivon (above) during his work placement with some of the students from TA.

Last year TYs ran a pop up cafe in aid of the TA as well as taking part in a week long workshops alongside TYs from Alexandra College to develop a food product. Here are TYs with Eduardo Santander, CEO European Travel Commission, discussing the marketing of their ideas.

Work will include assisting in PE Class, table service and food preparation. Places will be limited but I'll try to accommodate as many TYs as possible.

Homeless Contact Evening Street Work

Evening work (days TBC)

If you would like to take part in collecting clothing donations, preparing food and working on a "soup run" over the next 4 months you can sign up HERE to be considered for a place in this very rewarding working group.

Radio Maria Visit

Thanks to Radio Maria for the invite this week. An interesting visit to the studios of Radio Maria where we led the Rosary yesterday...whilst also taking time to record a jingle!

STMC Honey for Sale

St.Michael’s Pure Natural Honey and Heather Honey goes on sale tomorrow in the main foyer of the school at little break and at 1pm. All jars are €10. Last year they sold out quickly, so don’t miss out!!!
