TY Thursday Highlights & Details

Another week of banging things together...some with a little more rhythmic than others mind you! Thanks again to all of you who got stuck in to whatever activity you were taking part in:)

Thursday activities for 26th November will be run by the TY Reps so we'll be confirming which activities each class will be taking part in asap

Well done to all who took part in the We Count Project. We spent the afternoon building sensors that will be counting traffic over the coming months.

If anyone would like to get involved but hadn't signed up - drop in to the TYC Office and we'll get you organised:)

STMC Christmas Trees & TY Cafe - Volunteers Needed

Our annual Christmas Tree sale will be taking place again this year. Mr Sheridan & his 5th years will be working on setting up the trees this week.

As part of the sale, TY will be setting up a small cafe to offer hot drinks to customers.

If you would like to be considered for a job in the cafe rota throughout December just fill in this form HERE

Boots for Africa - Volunteers Needed

We've been asked by Boots for Africa if St Michael's can help run a school collection for preloved runners and boots that will offered to aspiring South African soccer and rugby footballers.

If you are interested in volunteering to help coordinate this please let me know by dropping in to the TYC Office and we'll get started asap.

Run in the Dark

Well done to all the lads who took part in this year's (virtual) Run in the Dark.

If you haven't collected your medal just drop in to the office with your phone so I can confirm your times 👍

Work Placements on Offer

To those in groups 3 & 5 who are scheduled to take part in Work Placements 30 Nov - 4th Dec.

I have a number of placements available with Hush Restaurant, The Sue Ryder Foundation, Christmas Tree Sales (in Monkstown) and I am waiting to confirm some more over the coming days.

If you are struggling to find a placement please drop in to the office so we can arrange something. Please note, there is no alternative activity arranged for those who have not been able to secure a placement for Activity Week 2.
