School Musical

This week, over 60 of our talented TYs came together from St Michael's and Mount Anville to bring Nutley Avenue Q to life, delivering an outstanding performance over two fantastic nights. The cast and crew have worked tirelessly to create a fantastic production, and it has paid off. A huge congratulations to everyone involved in the cast and crew for their hard work, dedication, and incredible performances. Each student played a vital role in making this musical such a resounding success.

A special congratulations and thank you to Mr Sheridan and the entire production team for their dedication, creativity and work. This show would not have been possible without their guidance.

Barista Course

Congratulations to all the TY students who successfully completed the Barista course.

A special well done to those who served over 60 people during the Café Experience section of the programme— some achievement!

A link will be sent shortly with instructions on how to access your certificate. Well done to everyone involved. The next round of courses will take place in March. Details will be shared in the New Year.

Lions Club - Thanks

Congratulations to all the crew who worked to deliver over 2,000 envelopes and leaflets across the Dalkey, Killiney, and Sandycove areas in a single afternoon!

The hard work and dedication are greatly appreciated— and the Lions Club send their heartfelt thanks ... well done to everyone involved.

TY Football

"The Transition Year team battled well but unfortunately came up short in a tight 1-0 defeat to Colaiste Phadraig CBS. This result means the school are knocked out of the TY Cup but the season continues with the TY Shield after Christmas."

- Mr Molloy

John O'Shea Talk

This week, TY students had the privilege of attending a thought-provoking talk by John O’Shea titled “How Social Entrepreneurs Can Spark a Social Revolution.”

John O’Shea, a former sports journalist, shared his inspiring journey from a successful media career to founding GOAL in 1977, an organisation dedicated to helping the “Poorest of the Poor,” as described by Saint Teresa of Calcutta. Over 35 years as CEO, he helped raise over $1 billion to alleviate suffering in the Forgotten World.

Now focused on sharing his motivational stories, John aims to inspire the next generation to take up the challenge of addressing global inequality.
