Module 6 Begins This Week

The final module rotation for TY – Module 6 – officially begins this week. Timetables will be distributed today during tutor time. We ask all students to familiarise themselves with their new timetable and make the most of their final rotation of the year.


TY Immersion Trip 2025: Tír na nÓg Support Plan

This May, our TY group will travel to Tír na nÓg, Tanzania, for the third time. In the lead-up to the trip, we are asking the wider school community to support the children of Tír na nÓg by donating a selection of requested items.


Items Requested (ages 4–14):

  • School shirts

  • Grey or black trousers

  • White or blue polo shirts

  • School stationery (copies, pens, pencils)

  • Sports equipment (balls, pumps, boots, skipping ropes, cones, etc.)


How to Help:

  • Consider collecting or purchasing a few of these items over the Easter break.

  • Bring donations to school after the holidays.

  • TY students will pack all donations into suitcases before departing.

STMC Drama: The Crucible

Congratulations to our TY Drama students, TYs from Mount Anville and our teachers for their production of The Crucible before the Easter break. The cast delivered a powerful and polished production that drew high praise from the audience. Bravo to all involved!


German Exchange: Willkommen zurück & Willkommen!

A warm welcome home to our German Exchange group, who returned from Regensburg, and their exchange students who will be in Dublin for the next two weeks.


Thank you to our coordinator Samantha Stephens, our host families and partner school for helping create such a memorable experience.


Change of Dates: Module 6 Activity Week


Please note, that due to circumstances beyond our control, a change to the dates for Module 6’s Activity Week: New Dates: Monday 19th – Friday 23rd May (instead of 21st–27th May).


There will be no classes for TY from Friday 23rd May.

Welcome: St Alban’s Students from South Africa


We are delighted to welcome three exchange students from St Alban’s College, Pretoria, South Africa, to our school community this term.


We look forward to learning more about their culture and sharing experiences over the coming weeks. Please make them feel at home!


5-a-side Football Tournament at UCD


This Friday, TY students will participate in an inter-class 5-a-side football tournament on UCD’s astro pitches.


Meet in the Assembly Hall 10:20am.


We’ll be walking to UCD as a group, with games scheduled between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.Bring your sports gear, good energy and team spirit!


STMC Blue Run – Saturday 10th May

The Student Council invites you to the STMC Blue 5K+, a colourful and inclusive event for the whole school community.


Details:📅 Saturday, 10th May 2025🕘 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM📍 St Michael’s College Campus

Students, parents, and teachers are all welcome. Runners and walkers can enjoy music, snacks and a great atmosphere.


  • Entry: €10 for students/parents (teachers go free!)

  • All participants receive a Blue 5K+ t-shirt, with refreshments available on the day.
