Volunteers Needed

We have an exciting opportunity for all class groups to collaborate with Together Academy this year and support their incredible work!

You can volunteer during the following modules:

  • 4.1: Module 1

  • 4.2: Module 2

  • 4.3: Module 3

  • 4.4: Module 4

  • 4.5: Module 5

  • 4.6: Module 6

Volunteers are needed on Monday mornings to help set up the café at Wanderers RFC, and on Thursday afternoons to pack away the café furniture.

Please note, there are limited spots available. If more than four volunteers sign up, a lottery will be held to determine the participants.

It's one of the nicest cafes locally too! Here's some information from the Together Academy:

TOGETHER TRAINING CAFÉ FAQs

Café Location & Hours

Together Café is located in the Wanderers Rugby Clubhouse on the Merrion Road. Parking is available on site near the entrance of the clubhouse. Upon arrival, enter through the front door of the clubhouse and follow signs for CAFÉ up the front stairs!

Our café is open Monday-Thursday 10.00am-2.00pm, with our lunch menu available 12.00-2.00pm.

Accessibility

Please note, the café is located upstairs in the clubhouse, and is only accessible via stairs. Unfortunately, there is no lift on the premises. We are happy to facilitate an accessible take-away option for our customers who cannot make the trip upstairs. Please let us know if this is the case.

How can I pay for my meal?

We recommend paying with card, but offer both card and cash payments in our café.

What food and drinks are on offer?

We are delighted to offer a range of teas and coffees for customers dining with us or ordering treats to go. Our morning offering will consist of a variety of pastries and sweet treats. Our café lunch offering will include a variety of soups, sandwiches and other lunch fare.

What is Together Café?

Together Café is a new social enterprise within our Together Academy framework- a unique training initiative for young adults with Down syndrome. This training café helps facilitate practical learning and work experience for our students in their larger community. We are thrilled to welcome you to our newest Together venture.

How do I cancel/amend my booking?

Please email cafe@togetheracademy.ie to amend or cancel your booking, or for any questions related to your booking ahead of arrival. We will strive to answer your emails in a timely manner.
