Brazil Samba Band

As part of the cultural aspect to the Brazil Trip, Mr Sheridan is coordinating a Samba Band with the 21 TYs taking part in the trip.
He is asking that each of the boys travelling buddy up with a TY who is not taking part in the trip to double the size of the band!
TY Credit System
The TY Credit System is now live! We have been working hard on introducing a system that is considered fair and has been creating through consultation with all TYs.
TYs have voted two to one on introducing the credit system as a means of acknowledging:
•Personal & group achievements
•Responsibility for your own learning
•Treating others fairly & with respect
Credits are awarded for some of the following:
Credits can also be deducted for some of the following:
77 TYs offered their feedback over the afternoon workshop and their TY Reps also met with Mr Joyce and I to discuss the findings. You can read some of the responses collected HERE
All students who maintain credits and have none deducted will be entered into a weekly prize draw and will have the option to access to additional activities for the remainder of the year
TY Adventure Holiday - Adventure Wales
25 - 29th May
I'm glad to announce that for this year's TY Adventure Trip we will be travelling to Wales.
Cost: €379
This includes:
4 nights/5 days
Adventure activities during the day time (TYs will choose evening activities, with the option to organise their own)
Transport to the Adventure Centre to & from the school
All meals
Full supervision day and night

If you would like to avail of a place on the trip please follow this LINK to pay a booking deposit of €100 by FRIDAY 31st January 2020.
This trip is not compulsory and Work Placements can be arranged as an alternative for the week. Please note that TYs may be excluded from the holiday option for negative behaviour throughout the year - in this unusual occurrence, everyone will be informed asap.
