Commiserations to those that were not drawn and congratulations to those who have been offered a place.

STMC TY Dublin City Scavenger Hunt

An Urban Orienteering Competition to win a one day supervised city break in the last school term 2018 (date TBC)

The competition involves orienteering the city in a team of 4 TYs to visit 25 Dublin popular tourist/historical/cultural sights. TYs are only allowed travel by foot, bike or public transport (taxi or car is not permitted). This is a great opportunity to get to know the city a little better.

The competition will begin this Friday and will continue over the coming week. The first team to complete/reach all of these sights/sites will win a place on the city break.

The instructions will be staggered over the course of the coming weekend/week (ie Names and locations will be released over the course of a few days so as to avoid a clash with extra curricular activities for some TYs).

Sites will include:

  • Teddy's Ice Cream, Dun Laoghaire

  • The Natural History Museum, Merrion Sq

  • Sandymount Green

  • Bunsen Burger, Aungier St or Temple Bar

  • The South Wall Light House, Ringsend

  • Merrion Square

  • Whitefriar Church, Aungier St

  • Chester Beatty Library, Dublin Castle

  • Garden of Remembrance, Parnell Sq

  • Moore St Fruit Market
