DELF Exam

All TYs who are studying French will be taking their DELF Exams this Wednesday. Please find a copy of a letter from the French Department outlining the day:

Dear Parents / Guardians,

The French TY students will sit the DELF A2 exam on Wednesday the 2nd of May in Alliance Française, Kildare Street.

The Oral Examination will start at 10am, depending on the candidate number. Each Oral exam will last 6 to 8 minutes. The students will have a break after their Oral examination.

The Written and Aural session will start at 12 and finish at 2.15. The French TY students will leave school at 09.00 that day accompanied by their teachers.

We will get the DART to the Alliance Française, the students will then make their own way home. Please make sure that they have enough money for transport and lunch.

The students must bring a proof of ID for the exam as it’s monitored by the French Minister of Education. The DELF examination is financed by the French Department.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

Kind Regards, Ms Chlyah § Mr Hogan.

TY Drama Trip - Pilgrim, Smock Alley Theatre

All TYs (with the exception of 4.3) will be going to a matinee of Pilgrim this Thursday afternoon.

Starring Past Pupil, Rex Ryan - it's a chance for all of those who took the Drama Workshop as part of TY Rotations to see why Rex is regarded as one of Ireland's most exciting actors.

It should be great! All you need to do is look at the reviews!

★★★★ ‘winningly performed’ – What’s on Stage

★★★★ ‘Uplifting and inspiring…a meticulously crafted piece of writing’ – Irish Examiner

★★★★ ‘amazing performance…remarkable script…superbly heartfelt’ – Broadway Baby
