STMC Drama

"Thank you so much to everyone who attended this year’s school play ‘And Then There Were None’ by Agatha Christie performed in association with Mount Anville.

The cast were superb and really brought the play to life. Thank you to all the students involved: Jon Barry, Mark Turley, Eily Heffernan, Ross Gallagher, Jason Kelly, Aoibhe O’Neill, Greg Marran, Andrew Bogle, Tom Haran, Ana Widger and Max Harrington.

We would also like to thank the following students for their invaluable work behind the scenes: Oisín McMahon, Ben Murphy, Ryan O’Toole, Dylan Ryan, Josh Egan, Danny Fehily, Jack McEniff, Peter Fegan, Jack Fagan and Mark Stanley."

Brazil Immersion Trip Interviews

Brazil Immersion Trip (21st March - 3rd April) Interviews will take place this Monday.

18 offers of a place on the trip will be offered based on answers to the following questions:

  • What do you understand by the term "immersion trip"?

  • Identify the characteristics you possess that would make you a suitable candidate for the immersion trip.

  • Outline the reasons you feel that would make this trip a rewarding experience for you.

  • Detail your experience with charitable activities to date.

  • What do you understand by the term "mission"?

  • How are the Spiritan congregation in Ireland organised or dispersed?

  • In a global context, identify the main areas of Spiritan involvement in society and name the countries associated.

What do you know about the country of Brazil?

 

TY Musical

Thanks to the 60+ TYs who responded to the email sent earlier this week and signed up to this year's TY Musical.

Workshops will run this Tuesday and Wednesday from 4pm. These will be a good opportunity for the producers to get a sense of acting and vocal range.

Rehearsals are planned for February with the performance running 10th and 11th May.

TY Tuesday: Traditional Sports Day

1:35 - 3:30pm

Front Pitch

The year group will be divided into base classes this week for an afternoon of traditional sports day activities: Egg and Spoon, Sack Racing, Tug o' War, Welly Toss, Crawling Sprints and much more.

With a set of vouchers for the winning team...it's all to play for!

World Toastmaster Semi Finalist & Public Speaking Coach, Simon Scriver putting the TYs through their rhetorical paces in an informative and engaging afternoon.

TY French Exchange

Dates for our French exchange programme have now been updated. Irish students will have now 2 options go to France: From Saturday 24th March to Sunday 8th April 2018 or from Saturday 17th February to Sunday 4th of March.

Application forms can be found below or are also available from Ms Chlyah. Forms must be signed by a parent/guardian and returned to Ms. Chlyah by Friday 1st of December.
